ABOUT CLAIRE RUUD
Claire Ruud is Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, where she is responsible for operationalizing the Museum’s artistic vision and shepherding the museum’s civic strategy. In 2019, she co-chaired the development of the MCA’s current strategic plan. Claire serves as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Threewalls, a contemporary art space in Chicago’s Humboldt Park, and is a Business Role Model for the Forte Foundation, supporting women in business. She was previously Deputy Director of the Institute of Contemporary Art Los Angeles and Associate Director of Fluent~Collaborative in Austin. She holds a Masters in art history from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
