ABOUT CLAIRE R.

Check out this project to connect my community to end of life issues! use these grief coaching skills in my work as a hospice chaplain and now accepting private clients for life coaching as well as grief coaching.I fell in love with Alaska and the people who dwell here when I arrived in Nome in 1986 as a Jesuit Volunteer for radio station KNOM. I never left and made Alaska my home.I have decades of experience as a radio and TV journalist. I served in two Governor\'s Administrations, and worked across the state as a community engagement educator in schools and communities. I have a Masters in Pastoral Studies (2009) from Seattle University. My fellowship at St. Christopers Hospice in London was a transformative experience. I realized that healthy, strong communities includes outreach for families and individuals dealing with end-of-life issues. Hospice and palliative care should be available to all.Like the majority of Alaskans, I belong to no political party. Rather, I support leaders who build consensus. Divided we fall.
