ABOUT CLAIRE PAULY

Claire Pauly is a partner in international arbitration and complex disputes at Jones Day in Paris.She advises and represents companies and state entities operating in various industries, with a particular emphasis on the energy, distribution, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, aeronautics and infrastructures fields, before international arbitral tribunals (ICC, ICSID, LCIA and ad hoc under the UNCITRAL Rules). Claire owns a double degree in French and Italian Law (Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne / Università degli Studi di Firenze), a Postgraduate degree in Private International Law (Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne), as well as an LLM in International Business Law (King\'s College London).A French and Italian native speaker, Claire is fluent in English and also works in Spanish.Claire teaches arbitration and post-M&A disputes at the Paris II Panthéon Assas University, Complex Arbitration at Sciences-Po Paris, litigation strategy at Paris Saclay University and the drafting of arbitral awards at the Paris Center of Mediation and Arbitration (CMAP).Claire sat and is currently sitting into top arbitration-related think-tanks based in France, aimed at enhancing Paris\' role as the true global hub of international arbitration: former Secretary General of Paris Arbitration Week for 4 years, Claire is now Vice-President in charge of international relations at Paris Home of International Arbitration (an organization promoting arbitration within Paris Place de Droit), sits at the Arbitration Committee of the Association Française d\'Arbitrage and most recently joined the Comité Français de l\'Arbitrage as a Board Member.Alongside her lawyer\'s job, Claire is a professional wine and food aficionado who spends significant time in gastronomic clubs around the world.
