I am a senior associate in the personal injury and medical negligence team at Dean Wilson. I act only for claimants. I specialise in complex, high-value claims, including claims arising from sexual assault perpetrated by high profile individuals and fatalities. My clients have suffered very serious injuries including brain, spinal, orthopaedic, and psychiatric injuries, and injuries leading to amputation. I have also represented clients who have sustained serious injury as a result of negligent exposure to the bacteria E.coli O157. I act for clients who have been injured as a result of serious assault, including sexual assault and acts of terrorism. I worked on one of only a handful of rape cases to be litigated in the civil courts, which was won at trial. I have claimed compensation for UK victims of overseas terrorism. Many of my clients need specialist rehabilitation input, which can be costly, and suffer a loss of earnings because their ability to work is lost or reduced as a result of their injuries. I seek early engagement with defendant insurers to put funded rehabilitation programmes in place and obtain interim payments of damages to support my clients financially while their claim is ongoing.My clients, and their families, have seen their lives turned upside down due to serious injury. I am a senior associate at Dean Wilson specialising in high-value catastrophic injury claims and high-profile sexual assault cases. I only ever act for the injured party.My clients are at the heart of the work I do. They are usually at one of the lowest points of their lives at the outset of their claim and I am passionate about achieving the best possible outcome for them.I am currently representing individuals who have made allegations of sexual assault and rape against Mohammed Al-Fayed and the financier Crispin Odey. I have previously represented claimants in a civil claim against the actor Kevin Spacey. I have a particular interest in working with victims of traumatic brain injury. Outside of work I volunteer with the charity Headway Sussex as a trustee and am a member of the steering committee of the Sussex Acquired Brain Injury Forum. Other clients have suffered serious physical and psychiatric injury as a result of road traffic accidents, violent assault, accidents at work or elsewhere, including clients who have been negligently exposed to the bacteria E.coli O157. I have successfully represented female and male victims of sexual assault against perpetrators who are well-known in the world of film, TV, sport and business. Work on these cases requires particular sensitivity and compassion - and a strong desire to use the law to achieve recognition of the human damage caused by the abuse of power and position. I also act for victims of terrorism, including terrorist acts overseas.
