As a dedicated high school English teacher, I have the privilege of working with both freshman and sophomore students, enthusiastically guiding them through literature and composition while being trusted by administration to prepare my students for state assessments that determine our school funding. Certified in both English as a Second Language and Special Education, I am passionate about fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of all learners. My teaching philosophy is heavily student-centered and growth-oriented. I am constantly seeking innovative ways to engage with and reach my student to ensure they receive the support needed to succeed.In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I lead the English Department’s Fellowship Committee, where I focus on boosting morale, organizing recognition initiatives, and fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for my colleagues.Outside of the classroom, I serve as the Head Coach for the girls’ golf team, overseeing practices, budgets, tournaments, and overall team logistics. I am also proud to be an Assistant Coach for the volleyball program, where I focus on developing the freshman team, supporting the varsity squad, and contributing to the offseason development of both the junior varsity and varsity teams. Additionally, I play a key role in season logistics, event planning, and implementing community outreach initiatives to strengthen connections within and outside of the school.Having been recognized time and time again, my commitment to my students, athletes, and colleagues drives me to continuously innovate and lead in all areas of my work.
