About Claire
clairechi [at] stanford [dot] edu-Claire is leading the youth movement to fight hunger. Her advocacy has been recognized by the White House, the late President George H. W. Bush, PepsiCo, and more. She is the founder of Dancing Against Hunger, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has engaged 4,500+ participants nationwide. Her TEDx talk, “How Kids Can Lead the Fight Against Hunger,” is certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education as Act 48 professional education. In 2022, Claire was appointed Student Representative to the State Board of Education, representing 1.8 million K-12 students and advising the Secretary of Education. During her tenure, she championed Pennsylvania\'s Free Breakfast Program, which has provided 1.7 million K-12 students across 500 school districts with free school breakfast daily since 2023. Over 92 million breakfasts were served in the last year alone. Claire is the youngest-ever Pennsylvania Forty Under 40 honoree and was appointed by the Governor to serve on his Advisory Commission for Next Generation Engagement. At 19, Claire created her own scholarship, becoming one of the youngest scholarship founders in the world. In her free time, she documents her college life at Stanford as a content creator, reaching 12+ million users and partnering with 80+ brands.
