My expertise spans FEMA Public Assistance, hazard mitigation (404/406), infrastructure restoration, climate risk reduction, and resilient planning.Highlights of my journey:* Guided climate-resilient rebuilding in the U.S. Virgin Islands post-Irma & Maria as Hazard Mitigation Lead Specialist with Witt O’Brien’s.* Helped secure and manage $1.8B for Orleans Parish school recovery and $1.2B for New Orleans roadway restoration, ensuring federal recovery funds embedded resilience.* Advanced hazard mitigation strategies for New York City post-Sandy, including floodplain management and innovative alternative project pathways.* As a Peace Corps Volunteer in Jamaica, led water and sanitation projects and responded to Hurricane Dean — an experience that deepened my commitment to community resilience.I hold a Master’s in Disaster Resilience Leadership from Tulane (Student of the Year, 2017) and a Master’s in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Wayne State.My mission is simple: Recovery should not just restore what was lost — it should build the foundation for a stronger, climate-ready future.
