As an Employment and Apprenticeships Officer, I provide coordinated support for the development and implementation of employment and apprenticeship policy across Cornwall Council and the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly region. My role focuses on:Supporting strategic initiatives to improve access to employment and skills development.Collaborating with internal departments, local employers, training providers, and community partners to expand apprenticeship opportunities.Promoting inclusive employment practices and pathways for all.Monitoring policy impact and contributing to the design of programmes that align with regional economic priorities.Championing apprenticeships as a key tool for workforce development and social mobility.I’m passionate about creating meaningful opportunities that empower individuals and strengthen our local economy.
