I solve valuable business problems using software. In my past roles ranging from developer to startup CTO, I\'ve done everything from standard web app software development (using Ruby) to managing, mentoring, hiring/firing, and growing my development team. I\'m passionate about software and developer management and I\'m always looking for ways to do better at both.I\'ve taught and mentored developers, gone through several corporate Agile trainings (including one to get a fancy ScrumMaster certification), worked with several different Agile consultants, and worn many hats typically worn by developers, devops, team leads, directors, and co-founders. I\'m active in the community and enjoy volunteering my time to help grow other developers.Technology and software have been my main passions for two decades; thinking with code is an integral part of how I operate. My professional background is in web application development using Ruby (including Rails). I\'m mainly looking for management and leadership opportunities in small to mid-sized businesses. My ideal position is in dev management, leading developers and building strong, self-sufficient teams that solve valuable problems.
