About Kit Clark
I’m an experienced scientist with strong analytics skills and experience driving positive business outcomes through the creation and deployment of models. Since 2010 I have worked as a petroleum-geologist in all phases of asset development from prospect generation and assessment to optimizing development programs. Past recommendations have driven over a hundred million dollars in exploration investment; more recently I am using a combination of my industry-expertise and machine learning to optimize a nearly ~$100mm program.Since 2017 I have become extremely interested in applying concepts from data-science, analytics, and machine-learning to drive business outcomes. As part of the Analytics and Data Science Team I have been responsible for using analytics to identify similar geologic classes, design structured tests to identify important performance drivers, and deploy time-series machine-learning models to optimize the completion design.There are unlimited applications for data science and machine-learning in geology and other industries.
