About Cameron Kinnick

I am a 2018 Purdue University graduate with degrees in Actuarial Science and Applied Statistics, with a minor in Management. While at Purdue, I also participated in a Risk Management exchange program where I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia.Currently, I work as a Senior Consulting Actuary for Milliman’s Indianapolis Healthcare Consulting practice. The Health and Human Services team that I am apart of provides Medicaid solutions to state government agencies across nine states. Key projects include developing Medicaid Managed Care capitation rates inclusive of budget neutral risk adjustment processes, assisting with the establishment of a specialized, behavioral health program, and evaluating the impact of various waiver and program/policy initiatives. In CY 2023, I was seconded to work in Milliman’s London (UK) practice where I assisted clients in their efforts to provide PMI health insurance to beneficiaries located throughout Europe. I have co-authored three industry white papers analyzing the performance of Medicaid Managed Care Organizations in CY 2020, CY 2021 and CY 2024, as well as a fourth paper focused on the sustainability of the PMI health insurance industry in the UK. In summer 2017, I interned in the Actuarial Department at Anthem, Inc. While there, I was exposed to a variety of different actuarial projects. Analyzing utilization and cost trends, developing Medicare Bid Models, and calculating the company\'s Loss Adjustment Expense were just a few ways I was able to gain experience as an Actuarial Intern.Exam Progress:Fellow of the Society of Actuaries - June.
