ABOUT CHRIS DAVIS

As a product professional, Chris has a proven track record of working with executives at the strategic level to uncover user needs and generate high-impact initiatives that drive business growth, yet he is just as comfortable concentrating on the minutiae of individual features to deliver incremental change. Chris has an accomplished history of managing external partnerships, optimizing and automating internal business processes, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, conducting user research, and guiding engineering teams located across multiple continents to launch successful products and features through Agile, Scrum, Lean, and Kanban software development processes. Most recently, Chris\'s teams at The Orchard built systems that claim public performance and broadcast royalties, resolve disputes, then pay out earnings to record labels that own their master sound recordings. Prior to this, Chris led the integrations of Salesforce, Braintree payment processing, and the Intercom customer messaging platform into Bandsintown\'s concert promoter product. As a writer and editor with a primary focus on electronic dance music, Chris\'s writing has been featured in several magazines, including front-cover stories on artists and nightclubs, dozens of reviews of music production software and hardware, previews and reviews of hundreds of live events, as well as online video interviews. As an educator, Chris has simplified the complex concepts of product management and music education, teaching students hoping to become product managers in the New York City area, and percussion students hoping to become professional musicians in the state of Georgia. As a musician, Chris has performed, recorded, and toured with dozens of wind ensembles, marching bands, and traditional live bands of nearly every genre, with several DJ residencies at nightclubs in the state of Georgia, plus recent bookings in the New York City area.
