Accurately enters & processes weekly multi-state, multi-union cost coded payroll;• Ensure that union benefit contributions are set up, maintained, paid and reported in accordance with collective bargaining agreements and in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.• Employ expertise, credibility and effective collaborating to help identify, evaluate, and resolve complex and sensitive issues, problems and service needs.• Ensure timely and accurate payroll data entry and processing of all transactions by establishing edit, audit and review policies and procedures.• Coordinate information sharing between other departments to maintain an efficient and practical approach to the delivery of payroll services and training to internal customers.• Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as required by management, internal customers and auditors.• Develop and sustain effective business relationships with EWI departments and governmental agencies.• Direct day-to-day operations in accordance with all federal, state and local laws, collective bargaining agreements and all corporate policies and procedures.• Provide support, training, mentoring, and leadership to management on an ongoing basis to ensure a fully efficient payroll operation.• Work collaboratively with Human Resources and the Accounting Department to ensure the correct interpretation and execution of pay and benefits.• Audit timesheets for completeness and accuracy from multiple time collection sources;• Learn and apply multi-union and state and federal payroll laws;• Prepare union reports;• Prepare various reports for internal personnel on a weekly basis;• Timely resolution of outstanding payroll and accounting issues;• Effectively apply company payroll policies and procedures;• Provide customer service to internal and external personnel;• Scan and file paperwork on a daily basis;• Update written payroll policies and procedures
