About Christian John Lillis
Christian has 25 years of experience as a nonprofit manager, patient safety advocate, and fundraiser. He is the co-founder and CEO of The Peggy Lillis Foundation for C. diff Education & Advocacy, which raises awareness of Clostridioides difficile infections and advocates for proven solutions to this epidemic. In recognition of his work, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention honored Christian with its \"Excellence in Partnering - Domestic\" award for \"forging a novel partnership aimed at eliminating infections in healthcare settings and protecting patients.\" He was previously managing director of prospect strategy & research at Teach For America. Before joining TFA, Christian was director of development at In The Life Media where he led a strategic overhaul of the organization’s fundraising systems, oversaw its most successful donor acquisition campaign, secured numerous new foundation grants, and conceived and executed a new signature fundraising event: The Season Premiere Gala. Christian has also served as director of major gifts for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, where he oversaw a 58% increase major gifts, and as associate director of development research for NYU Langone Medical Center, where led prospect research and strategy for the public phase of a $750 million capital campaign. He is a past board member of the Greater New York Chapter of the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement and the Center for Gay & Lesbian Studies at the City University of New York. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political theory from Brooklyn College, where he won the Donald G.
