ABOUT JESSICA GRANT
I am a Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation, the Co-Active Training Institute and Gallup CliftonStrengths. As a coach, I help my clients discover how they can leverage their unique talents to achieve meaningful goals. Using the CliftonStrengths assessment and a variety of other tools, I help to uncover how they hold themselves back and help redirect their energy toward more positive behaviours to become the best version of themselves. I am an Adult Educator, having recently completed George Brown College\'s Workplace Learning and Adult Education Certificate (recognized by the I4PL). I am a self-declared lifelong learner who is always looking to develop my skills and become a better person - both personally and professionally. I have spent most of my professional life working in marketing. The combination of leveraging data-driven insights to solve complex problems through a creative process is highly appealing to me. It requires significant adaptability, flexibility, knowledge and data gathering - particularly in today\'s digitally-focused world. I have experience working both at an agency and client-side and currently work in post-secondary education at George Brown College. As a leader who tries to add value wherever possible, I understand the importance of clear and effective communication across multiple platforms involving strong writing, speaking and presentation skills, but more importantly the ability to listen intently. I try to put people first and look for ways to keep team members engaged and challenged through personal development. I believe that an engaged group of people can have a more significant impact than any one individual. In 2017, I completed my MBA (with distinction) from the Edinburgh Business School. I confess that while part of my motivation was to have a reason to visit Edinburgh (which was fabulous!), I really wanted to challenge myself by earning a Master\'s degree that would complement my previous work experience. I connect easily with others and have a genuine interest in learning about people and what they value. The relationships that I build reflect ones that are based on trust, integrity, mutual respect and dignity. As the spouse of a cancer-survivor, I am also someone who values health and fitness above everything else. I prioritize regular exercise and other healthy habits because I know first-hand that without your health, nothing else matters.
