ABOUT CHRIS ASHTON HOLT
First and foremost I\'m an Infrastructure Optimist - I believe in the power of infrastructure to connect people, places, and ideas — whilst accelerating progress toward net zero.I’m a Partner in EY Consulting’s Sustainable Infrastructure leadership team, working alongside the leaders of major programmes across the full lifecycle. I support asset-intensive clients with strategy, investment decisions, delivery models, and transformation. My work spans energy, utilities, transport, and complex capital projects — always grounded in pragmatism, people, partnership and a commitment to delivering the long-term value I know infrastructure can deliver.I’ve helped shape the investment case for multi-billion pound new builds, advised operators on decommissioning challenges, and identified real-world savings that deliver value for money. I’m also an active voice in the industry, speaking at international conferences and contributing to panels on the future of infrastructure.I’m particularly focused on how we can do infrastructure differently — rethinking the way we plan, design, finance, and deliver to meet the demands of a changing world. With technology and AI reshaping what’s possible, and public-private partnerships becoming more vital than ever, I work with clients to challenge legacy assumptions and unlock smarter, faster, more resilient outcomes. From a personal perspective, a passion of mine is making flexible working actually work — for individuals, families, and firms. As a parent of four in a dual-working household, I know that sustainable performance and personal fulfilment aren’t mutually exclusive — they\'re interdependent.Beyond work, I care deeply about education and opportunity. I was proud to Chair the Governing Body at Harris Academy Merton, leading the school through an Outstanding OFSTED inspection in 2022.What I do: Shape strategy and business cases for major infrastructure investment Support clients in navigating change and disruption across sectors Navigate final investment decision-making on complex programmes Lead Tranformation programmes and operating model design🤝 Enable better decisions through executive-level governance and assurance Deliver tangible efficiencies without compromising performanceAll views expressed here are my own
