Gunnison Valley Health Paramedics are a quasi-county and hospital based program stretching into three counties, Gunnison, Saguache and Hinsdale. Our Team services over 4400 square miles of rugged Rocky Mountain terrain with two 24/7 ambulance crews and one duty Captain in a quick response vehicle. We are critical care endorsed and practice at the forefront of progressive medicine. While responding to 1600 annual calls, we traverse over miles per year across the state delivering patients out of our austere environment to higher levels of care. I am Chairman of the Board for the Gunnison Hinsdale Combined Emergency Telephone Services Authority (GHCETSA), Local Emergency Planning Commission (LEPC), and sit as Vice Chairman of the Western Region EMS Council (WRETAC). I am the former Co-Incident Commander of the Gunnison County Unified One-Valley Incident Command Team. This was an 18month post sharing Incident Command with Gunnison County Public Health.At GVH EMS, we are passionate about rural prehospital medicine, leadership and exceptional service to our residents and visitors.
