Manage multiple High Voltage and Low Voltage construction projects as the assigned project manager (liaise, consult and communicate with key project stakeholders, including: contractors, customers, equipment suppliers, and other utilities) • Design electrical and civil drawings using MicroStation for industrial, commercial, and residential projects • Perform phone calls and use multiple software in order to successfully design, estimate, and coordinate projects such as OneNote, Outlook, Excel, Word, Microstation, SPIDAcalc, Pull-Planner, ProjectWise, Cisco Webex, and G/Technology Netviewer • Conduct routine technical site evaluation in order to verify the condition/state of assets, to determine the feasibility of designs, to take detailed measurements, to collect nameplate data or equipment settings, and to provide technical field support to project stakeholders • Estimate cost for a variety of projects considering civil infrastructure, material, labor, pay duty, traffic person, design hours, field validation cost, inspection, and overtime using SAP • Develop Bill of Material, check warehouse inventory, order project material, issue job quotations, and handle other administrative tasks using SAP • Review, and modify site-specific single-line and three-line diagrams, shop drawings, and equipment layouts • Perform routine engineering calculations (demand load, pole loading, voltage drop, and cable pulling analysis) and cost-benefit evaluation • Select adequately rated equipment or components, including appropriate transformer/cable/wire ampacities • Ensure design compliance with all applicable code, industry standards, Toronto Hydro construction standards, design guidelines, and utility best practice • Prepare construction packages, including all required drawings, work instructions, planning documentation, operating systems, and regulatory approvals • Make recommendations to revise or improve construction standards, specifications, design and/or performance
