ABOUT CIRCE DIAZ GAMERO
A graduate of El Sistema and an award-winning Venezuelan cellist, she has extensive experience in the music industry. She has participated in renowned music festivals such as the Hot Springs Music Festival, the Mimir Chamber Music Festival, and the Aspen Music Festival. Her performances have taken her on international tours with the Aragua Symphony, The Nuevo Mundo String Quartet, and the World Orchestra to Europe, North and South America, China, and Japan. Additionally, she has performed with various symphony orchestras like Maracaibo, Miami, San Bernardino, Golden Pops, and Santa Cecilia. Ms. Diaz has studied music with David Cole at the NWSA and graduated with Honors from the New World School of the Arts/University of Florida. In 2007, she obtained her Master\'s degree in Music Performance from the University of Florida. Currently, she is a Teaching Artist for the Los Angeles Philharmonic, LAPCA Youth Orchestra, and VYMA Music Project at Longfellow Elementary School (El Sistema Inspire program). Her specialties include orchestra conducting, cello playing, teaching, sectional work, chamber music coaching and master classes, music theory, music history, and Latin American music. She is skilled in developing long-term work plans and practice techniques to develop skills, sound, and ensemble playing.
