ABOUT CINDY W.
Hey there! I\'m Cindy (she/her) and I\'m currently a second-year MD/PhD Candidate at Queen\'s University completing my PhD in Epidemiology in the Department of Public Health Sciences. I recently finished my undergraduate degree (BMSc) with an Honours Specialization in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. My research is centred on enhancing equitable outcomes by evaluating liver fibrosis screening strategies for high-risk populations with steatotic liver disease. I come from a background centred on health equity, the social determinants of health, and leveraging mixed-methods approaches to solving individual and system-level barriers that impact the quality and access to care for equity-deserving communities. Beyond academic scholarship, I am passionate about knowledge translation, mentorship, and community involvement. I enjoy leveraging my artistic background in design to make information accessible and inclusive, while using my expertise to create sustainable change. Feel free to connect.
