If you asked the various member of my teams what words describe me best they would say I\'m approachable, have a high level of integrity and that I\'m a passionate problem solver. These are the key ingredients of my career as a financial leader. I also love working with customers, both internal and external, and enjoy mentoring my team.My specialty is to uncover ways to make a company stronger by focusing on better financial organization. I have experience as the finance leader who has moved the organization from using an ordinary, antiquated budget practice to an innovative forecast process. Then by using continuous improvement methods, I led my team to remove extraneous and unnecessary steps in the month-end close process which reduced the number of days for processing and allowed the team to focus on delivering analysis which moved the company forward. I take great pride in mentoring both the staff and the operational leaders to meet their personal goals and objectives. I love to analyze, interpret, and translate financial information into a common language that allows non-financial leaders to be more comfortable making decisions that have financial impact. This led to improvements at the department level through better expense management as well as at the organizational level through improved growth strategy. I am a hands-on, passionate finance director who isn\'t afraid of taking the lead, creating a plan and following it through to completion. In addition to creating a plan, I communicate it with specific responsibilities for each team member and by doing this I improve customer experience and therefore improve the bottom line.
