Serve as a point of contact within the office of the CFO for the Bank’s “First Line of Defense” program, for Audit, Compliance, Regulatory Agencies, SOX, and Operational Risk testing and quality control• Monitor the progress of testing of Finance controls, internal and external audits, and regulatory examinations• Work with Internal Audit, external auditors, management, and staff to identify feasible control solutions and resolutions (if exist) to control gaps, findings, and opportunities for improvement in various Finance areas• Monitor remediation of control gaps and failures to ensure timely and effective resolution• Collaborate with leaders and business partners to ensure Finance, Accounting, Treasury and Capital Markets controls and documentation meet company and regulatory expectations• Identify key risks and work with management to ensure appropriate controls are in place to mitigate the risks• Participate in the evaluation, development and maintenance of policies, procedures, standards, and training as they pertain to regulatory and audit requirements• Assist in developing Finance governance which may include planning, analysis, design and implementation of controls, business interaction, testing, and reporting procedures in accordance with appropriate professional and corporate standards
