With over 25 years of experience in higher education and counseling, expertise spans teaching, leadership, and student development, with a focus on empowering students to succeed academically, professionally, and personally.Currently teach Personal Development courses that help students explore academic pathways, strengthen self-development skills, and achieve their educational goals. Instruction emphasizes student success, resilience, and lifelong learning, supporting diverse learners as they transition through college and beyond.Leadership roles have included serving as Faculty Co-Chair of Curriculum (2019–2021), providing academic leadership on curriculum review and institutional policy. Since 2017, service as Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Advisor has centered on mentoring honor students in leadership, scholarship, and community engagement while fostering connections across regional and national networks.Previous experience includes coordinating Career Services (2010–2018), directing center operations, career fairs, employer outreach, and individualized career counseling. Earlier leadership as Department Chair of Personal Development Counseling (2006–2011) involved overseeing curriculum, scheduling, and faculty development, while teaching Personal Development, Career Development, and Psychology of Learning and Motivation courses that fulfilled CSU general education requirements and UC/private transfer electives.
