Shipped software-driven HID workflows (DNA extraction → CE/STR) by converting SOPs into reliable Auto Instrument runs using. pcl/.pclp and supporting Python utilities.• Built and deployed real-time pressure-based clog detection on Auto Instrument: sensor I/O + DAQ, EWMA smoothing, time hold / pressure-psi threshold with time window, improves run reliability, reduces sample loss, and enhances confidence in automated DNA extraction workflows, particularly for challenging forensic samples.• Developed reusable automation modules (plate handling, liquid classes, error recovery, tip tracking) to standardize methods and reduce build time.• Optimized reagent cartridge layout and transfer parameters, improving DNA yield and reducing CV across validation runs.• Program, test, and maintain Hamilton for HID and other liquid handler workstations. Implemented process-aware controls (deck validation, volume reconciliation, QC checkpoints) with telemetry for traceability; authored runbooks and failure-mode guides.• Collaborated with scientists, systems engineers, and IT to harden methods and transfer to QC/external partners; led user training and UAT.
