ABOUT CINDY HOLLANDER
I’ve spent more than 23 years growing what began as a small engineering design consulting firm with just a few employees into a robust company that serves clients throughout the Southeast.Based in Knoxville, Tennessee, IDI specializes in mechanical, structural, electrical, environmental, and process-related projects in the Paper, Metal, Nuclear, Water Industries, all manner of Plant Utilities, as well as many other Industries. I’ve assembled a team of highly skilled licensed professional engineers, designers, and 3D CAD specialists who are nimble, responsive, and driven to innovate for our clients, who include Kimberly-Clark Corporation, EnergySolutions, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Arconic, American Zinc Recycling, and Johns Manville, among many others. We’ve touched the curving drop on Dollywood’s Blazing Fury rollercoaster; designed the mechanical, structural, and piping design of the boiler system that will power a $130 million distillery in Kentucky; and worked as a subcontractor for a company supplying components that were installed on the International Space Station.Prior to founding IDI, I spent more than 20 years as a mechanical / structural designer for companies including US Borax & Chemical Corporation, Gilbert-Commonwealth, Aqua-Chem, and Thermatrix.
