The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is an agency within the US Department of Health & Human Services responsible for administration of several key federal health care programs. Medicare (the federal health insurance program for seniors) is the largest health insurance provider in the world. My responsibilities include: Department of Insurance liaison for our four-state region, serving as a liaison between our federal agency and the state regulatory agencies. Lead Caseworker and national marketing reviewer for one of the largest Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plan companies in the United States. Account Manager for four plans - overseeing the plans and making sure they follow our federal policies and regulations. Additionally, I work on several ad hoc specialty projects. My areas of interest are root cause analysis and process improvement.
