ABOUT CINDY BIVIANS

With a resume the covers 37 years in the energy space that ranges across corporate functions, business operations and quality, I see processes as interconnected steps and activities that can be analyzed, improved and monitored across the value stream. The result - a balance of effective & efficient processes that are appropriately controlled to enable the business & protect the company. In business today quality is a minimum requirement and not a nice to have – there is no time for waste and inefficiency. If you want to be the best, you must be able to stay focused on getting the right things done, doing it right the first time, and having efficient processes free of waste and defects and with the right controls. The idea is not to do more with less; it’s to do less with less.I started my corporate career as a college student working multiple jobs while attending school at night. My first position at Amerada Hess Corporation at the lowest level position in the company. I earned my degree with the help of Hess\'s education assistance program (and straight A\'s) over the course of several years and through many of life\'s adventures - getting married, having children, and climbing the corporate ladder. Resilience is what kept my spirit alive and drive for success moving forward reaching the leadership level of today. As an advocate for Women I co-chaired the Women in Energy employee resource group at Direct Energy Business and always make time to help women find their motivation, obtain new capabilities, and create opportunities to succeed.Certified as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Lean Sensei, I picked up several other capabilities and certifications that enhance my ability to be a trusted partner, advisor and influencer to business leaders such as Leadership Facilitator, Acquisition Program Manager, Offshore Relationship Manager, Mentor, Change Leader, and Strengths Finder Advisor. I ensure the most important things are being worked on by aligning with strategy, determining the best approach, using data and customer insights, and following structured yet flexible frameworks and methodologies.As an agile high-performer, trusted to always deliver, and with a following of supporters, leadership has always extracted the most value of my technical skills, entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, strategic thought and coaching/mentoring which foster collaboration with an enthusiastic and inspirational positive energy toward a common goal. It also won me the 2019 Making Business Better Award at Direct Energy and gave me a memorable achievement.
