About Ciara Orr
Through internships at my Sheriff’s Department, City Court, Probation Department, and the Department of Social Services, I have gained hands-on experience with criminal and civil court proceedings, case documentation, compliance checks, investigations, and client interviews. In addition, my internship with NYS Assemblyman William Barclay strengthened my legislative research, policy analysis, and constituent engagement skills.At Cornell University, I am pursuing a major with a strong focus on Labor and Employment Law, complemented by minors in Inequality Studies and Law & Society. My academic training has deepened my understanding of workplace rights, employment discrimination, collective bargaining, and the structural inequalities that shape access to justice.I bring strong organizational, communication, and people skills developed through both legal internships and supervisory roles in customer-facing positions.
