Our lab focuses on the organ of bladder in terms of it\'s formation, homeostasis, regeneration engineer and pathological solution.• Bladder is initiated from E10.5 and function is completed on three weeks old in mouse. Particularly, we are interested in what control the formation of bladder, what control the termination differentiation of bladder cells. • Urinary tract infection affects 150 million people in world wide per year. The umbrella cell is the first layer to sense and defense the bugs. Particularly, we are interested in how umbrella cell sense the bugs and how umbrella cell remove the bugs.• Bladder cancer evolves from environmental stress and epigenetic reprogram, it\'s diagnosis and treatment are limited. We are interested in how genetic and epigenetics contribute into tumorigenesis. We also design the algorithm to accurately segregate the subtypes of bladder cancer, screen the potential treatment from natural plant chemicals and test the efficacy in both human organoids and mouse.• one NSF grant on bladder urothelium termination differentiation• one local grant on epigenetic program in severe urinary tract infection• one local grant on bladder cancer diagnosis and treatment
