Where some may only speak of what could be done, I\'m more of the belief that responsibility in any achievement begins with number one. If we are to be serious in the achievement of any great task, then we can only lead by seeking to be the difference of what we\'d wish to achieve.Because an appreciative and humble heart is ALWAYS thankful for even the smallest of God\'s Blessings, we should never take anything or anyone for granted.Dedication is key. I do seek to serve others in a Christian capacity, as I have too many blessings in my life to count, but none greater than my wife and kids. They are my inspiration and by the guidance of Christ\'s examples, I seek to lead them.My goal in life is to never find myself to busy or self consumed that I overlook someone I SHOULD help. I don\'t believe in just throwing money at any cause, or sitting back and complaining, but rather, to roll up my sleeves and seeking to be a contributor to achieving a solution.I understand the first challenge of TRUE leadership is to develop the heart and mind of a servant to those you seek to lead. If I\'m not giving MORE than any would be subordinate; then I\'m NOT really leading the way.

   January 17, 2017 - Today, in my being sworn-in as State Senator of Georgia\'s 54th district, I am convinced in all knowledge and understanding of my own conviction, and of all that has transpired, that it is God that has brought me to this place and time of my life. From the time that Angie and I had decided to step forward in faith, that this was something I was being led to do, I\'ve only prayed \"God\'s will be done\", remaining committed to setting aside my own will and want; and committing my trust to Him.From all that I\'ve seen and the many prayers I\'ve come to realize that so many of you were offering on our behalf, I know this day didn\'t come because of my own ambition, or anything that I should take credit for in bringing this day about. All we did was step forward in faith - and now faithfully in my love for God, my neighbors and the freedom of God\'s Blessing, I will commit myself to serve. I do know that the paths of my lifetime, which have brought to this day, were not of my own design, but the fruition of a lifetime of my trusting in God to show the way I need go.My promise to God and to each of you is simply that I will continue my efforts in good faith and to leave my own want and all personal ambition behind - my hope is that God will lead me to be a good Public Servant of freedom\'s Prosperity, and for each and everyone.Thank you to all of you who have prayed for me throughout this, as I ask that you please continue your prayers over me and my family, as I now commit myself to serve.God Bless us, one and all, and may we be thankful and fruitful with every blessing to come.Of only my heart,\"Thank you, Everyone!\"
