About Chuck Gibson
Experienced R&D professional with a broad range of various product development paths, inclusive to the origination of new product concepts and commercialization. Currently hold over 28 patents in the area of steerable catheter technology. Specialities of strengths extend between the areas of diagnostic and therapeutic steerable catheter platforms with a particular focus in the area of cardiac arrhythmia resolution. Also developed a thorough understanding of Radiofrequency and alternate ablation methodologies employed to correct arrhymia-centric cardiac tissue. Job experiences have also afforded a deep fundamental knowledge of steerable sheath and peripheral equipment applications used in the clinical application of Cardiac Electrphysiology. Participated in all aspects of portfolio building, such as design origination and idea generation, business development through acquisition and/ or joint development partnerships. Standard practices include day-day interaction with Marketing, Quality and Regulatory functions as a means to ensure compliance to both internal and external standards and formulate development path and market strategy. As a principal engineer with over 27 years of experience in catheter-based systems, I am able to extend this experience to lower levels of engineering personnel in order strengthen the core talent to expand the business needs.
