ABOUT CHUCK ARNETT
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY As a faulty or adjunct member, I believe that my role in the classroom is one of a facilitator of business concepts and information. Technology has brought new opportunities and options to learning. Whether I am teaching an online class or a face-to-face class, I want to encourage students to participate in discussion and allow them to share their opinions on an array of topics. I believe my business experience, knowledge, interpersonal skills, and my sense of humor have led to business success in the past. I want to bring those traits into a classroom setting for the future. I am a strong advocate of lifelong learning and hope to encourage and inspire students to continue their education throughout their life. The teacher-student relationship must be based on trust and a mutual respect for each other. The teacher role must be one of a coach, mentor, and cheerleader who sets goals for the students and leads and assists them to meet those goals. My goal is to enable students to use their knowledge, creativity, and life experiences to communicate their ideas effectively and for me to provide them with basic business understanding. I want to provide a learning experience that encourages students to compete in a business environment successfully.
