I am passionate about building technology that enables the transition to renewable energy globally. The gigawatts of flexibility that can be provided by batteries in homes, in electric vehicles, and from controlling the electrified home will be critical to managing an electric grid primarily dependent on renewable energy. I have been thinking about and working on these technologies for 15 years. In 2008 I was co-inventor on a patent in the area of home power networks and management that’s now cited more than 250 times (IBM, Honeywell, GE, Siemens, Samsung, Toyota, LG, Honda, Edison, and more)
