As Executive Director and a CPDT-KA, I provide leadership across 200 volunteers, operations, intakes/adoptions, marketing, fundraising, veterinary services, animal care, community outreach, and more. I also cultivate relationships within the community and across partners such as PACC911, Best Friends Animal Society, PetSmart Charities, and Maricopa and Pima County. By developing DHDR into a purpose driven, professional organization, I more than doubled our capacity, volume of rescues, event reach, and volunteer force. Our digital engagement has grown 7x. Revamping our fundraising strategy to focus on core efforts rather than “spraying and praying,” grew revenue by 150x. I have also worked to develop a series of programs that address pet homelessness before it ever starts - a strategic approach to rescue.
