Throughout my life, I\'ve mainly been driven by making things. In my personal life, that has played out as lifelong passions for writing music and fiction, cooking, and building my own furniture.As a professional, I love telling stories, and creating content that communicates those stories effectively to the right audience. To me, a good story stems from curiosity and empathy. You have to look at something from all angles, take it apart, make sense of its innards, and then present it in the perfect light.I thrive on this type of challenge.Most recently, I\'ve been telling the story of working at UiPath, predominantly to a highly sought-after audience of software engineers and developers. These are people who could get a great job at any number of large, established tech companies pretty much at the drop of a hat.How do you entice such a person into a smaller, more uncertain environment? I spent months doing research and asking people both inside and outside the company that very question.The answer? IMPACT. The story we had to tell was that of the impact they could have in a smaller company at the forefront of a new industry. We may not do their laundry for them or have a daycare center in the office, but we will give them the autonomy to tackle big problems and come up with their own solutions. Even better, our leaders will listen to them, and genuinely value their work and their ideas.The culture deck and podcast series linked below are just a small taste of the ways we\'ve told that story.
