Dr. Christo Selvan is an accomplished academic leader, researcher, and professor with 23 years of experience in business education and administration across premier institutions in Malaysia and India. Currently serving as the Dean of the School of Business at St. Joseph’s University, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership in driving institutional growth, fostering global collaborations, and elevating academic standards. Under his guidance, the Department of Commerce expanded from 4 faculty members and 300 students (2015) to 38 faculty members and over students (2022), while achieving a national ranking of 44th in India and 7th in Karnataka within just five years of operation.A dedicated researcher, Dr. Selvan has published in Clarivate & Scopus-indexed journals as well as esteemed peer-reviewed publications. He also contributes to the academic community as a reviewer for international journals, including Elsevier, Symbiosis, INTERSCIENCE, and JETIR. His research expertise spans Financial Accounting, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and Human Resource Management.Recognized for his commitment to global education, Dr. Selvan has forged strategic partnerships with leading institutions worldwide, including ACCA and ISDC (UK), Sunway University (Malaysia), EDEX (New Zealand), IMA CMA (USA), and Wiley (UK). He has organized high-impact international conferences, such as a collaborative event with Victoria University (Australia) and Sunway University (Malaysia), which brought together 204+ academics from India, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, and beyond. Additionally, he has designed and launched innovative certificate programs, graduate diplomas, and specialized courses to enhance student learning and research opportunities.Beyond his administrative and research roles, Dr. Selvan serves as an External Ph.D. Examiner, Academic Auditor, and Keynote Speaker at national and international forums.
