In this position I manage all the VAT and CIS affairs for our company clients. The details of my job role are below- Submitting accurate VAT returns for clients within the allotted timescale- Verification of contractors for PAYE and CIS purposes- Calculation of CIS amounts and submission of CIS returns within the allotted timescale- E-mailing clients when appropriate and answering any queries which they may have- Establishing direct debit for clients when requested or required- Appealing client HMRC penalties when required- Chasing clients for missing VAT or CIS information by phone or email- Inputting all sales and purchase invoices on Sage, Excel, QuickFile and FreeAgent and calculating the VAT return for the client- Working with both invoice and cash accounting clients and calculating the VAT on marginal sales when necessary- Reconciling bank accounts and identifying omitted transactions where required- Invoicing customers in a timely manner- Communicating and liaising with HMRC by telephone or web chat to resolve any issues as soon as they occur.
