About Christopher Turbeville
I have spent the majority of my career in the Biological and Environmental Sciences. In addition to applying my scientific background and knowledge practically in the pharmaceutical safety assessment industry, and prior to that in the renewable fuels industry for nearly a decade, I am also dedicated to educating the next generation of scientists, helping to ensure that they might also have a strong fundamental, yet practical, foundation. In the workplace, I am a dedicated, self-motivated, hard-working, team player who enjoys both working collaboratively with others on projects, as well as focusing on the completion of individual objectives. Possessing both very strong written and verbal communication skills, I strive to consider various perspectives and strategies from multiple individuals when problem-solving, and then seek objective, fair, and practical solutions. I place a high degree of importance on honesty, loyalty, transparency, and commitment, both in my own work, but also in my trusted colleagues. As a natural teacher, I am comfortable and effective as an instructor, whether it is educating science in a college classroom, explaining the importance and benefits of renewable energy to customers, or teaching safety topics and safe work practices. I am a 2005 graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison where I completed an MS in Biochemistry. Prior to that, I graduated in 2002 from UC Berkeley, and hold both a BA in Molecular & Cellular Biology, and a BS in Plant and Microbial Biology. I am a dedicated member of my church, where I am active in leadership, teaching, missions, and technical support in the worship ministry. Languages: English, Spanish.
