I’m the founder of Lavawall, a Canadian-built cybersecurity platform that empowers Managed IT Service Providers (MSPs) to protect the small businesses and non-profits at the heart of our communities. Lavawall was built out of the L3 MSP consulting work provided by ThreeShield Information Security.After 20 years conducting security audits across sectors from critical infrastructure to Fortune 50 companies, I\'ve seen it all. I\'ve reviewed IT security controls everywhere from space shuttle control rooms to small banks in rural Alberta. That experience includes nearly every Alberta government ministry and industries as diverse as video games to attack helicopters and ice cream makers to large wind turbines, critical infrastructure protection, credit card payments, and military. I saw Canadian businesses repeatedly struggle with preventable risks. Lavawall was created to change that—giving MSPs enterprise-grade visibility, automation, and proof of improvement once reserved for large security teams.
