Serve as a clinical and administrative leadership resource for the Mass General Brigham (MGB) Academic Medical Centers (AMC) Department of Psychiatry (AMC Psychiatry), the integrated departments of the AMCs (Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital). Support the BWFH clinical operational and management of the social work and occupational therapy teams within the 2South inpatient unit and Partial Hospital Program. Responsible for managing a team of social workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to address the psychosocial needs of individuals and families. Provide key role in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and strategic planning to enhance the impact of social work services.Key Roles & Responsibilities:Manage and lead a team of social workers, licensed mental health clinicians, & psych occupational therapists, providing supervision, guidance, and support.Conduct regular team meetings, case conferences, and performance evaluations.Provide clinical supervision to social workers, offering expertise on complex cases and ethical considerations.Oversees the social workers facilitating utilization review for all patients admitted into the inpatient psychiatric unit at BWFH, working with Revenue cycle to manage and facilitate all insurance appeals.
