About Christopher Kline
Christopher is a software engineering leader with extensive experience in the interactive entertainment and financial industries, who has spent his career guiding companies as they navigate the boundary between creative human endeavors and challenging technological constraints. He is currently Executive Vice President of Technology at oneZero Financial Systems, a provider of trading technology, connectivity and infrastructure solutions to institutional and retail broker-dealers and market makers in the global foreign exchange, commodities, cryptocurrency and futures markets. Since 2013 Christopher has had operational responsibility over the engineering team, technology and processes that have grown oneZero from a tiny bootstrapped start-up into a successful market-leading provider of mission-critical technology. In mid-2019, oneZero received its first outside investment when Lovell Minnick Partners acquired a significant minority stake in the business.Prior to oneZero, he spent nearly twelve years in the video game industry at Irrational Games / Take-Two Interactive, where he helped grow the tiny PC-only development house into a world-renowned multi-platform developer. During this time he shipped five critically-acclaimed and commercially successful games for the PC, Xbox, and Playstation platforms. Most notably he served as Technical Director on the BioShock franchise, which has received universal worldwide acclaim, won multiple Game of the Year awards and was featured in the Smithsonian American Art Museum. As of 2015 the franchise had sold over 25 million copies, generating over $500 million in revenue for Take-Two Interactive. Additionally, Christopher spent several years in the interactive entertainment industry at Nearlife Inc, where he served as Lead R&D Engineer. His work there included interactive television technology, theme-park experiences, and high-end interactive science museum installations. Christopher holds an M.S. degree from the MIT Media Laboratory, where his thesis research was in artificial intelligence and computational ethology. Prior to that he received his B.S. in Computer Science from Cornell University. He holds two U.S. patents, one for a parallel processing system designed for financial arbitrage, and the other for a method by which players in an online computer game can directly influence a live television broadcast.
