With a robust background in communication studies, my journey has evolved from academia to ministry leadership. Currently, I serve as an Adjunct Instructor at Virginia Peninsula Community College, where I share my expertise in public speaking and interpersonal communication. At the First Baptist Church Denbigh, my role as Vice Chairperson of the Audio and Video Ministry leverages my leadership skills and my commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.My recent experiences have honed my competencies in leadership communications and active listening, essential for fostering engaging learning environments and empowering ministry teams. As part of the VPCC, my contributions extend beyond the classroom through my active participation in departmental and college committees. In the church setting, I apply my technical skills to enhance worship experiences, demonstrating a unique blend of scholarly knowledge and community service.

Virginia Peninsula Community College primarily serves the residents of the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, and Williamsburg, and the counties of James City and York.I currently teach multiple sections of CST 100: Principles to Public Speaking. In addition to teaching, I have served on a selection of college committees, served as a textbook reviewer, and served on two hiring committees. Currently, I am serving as a member of the Communications and Marketing Shared Governance Committee.
