As a CHOW at The Academy SF at McAteer, I was a member of the wellness team, comprised of a Social Worker, Nurse, and Licensed therapist, to provide coordinated care of the students at the school. My role as a CHOW was to be a liaison between the school and community organizations in San Franciso. I connected many students to resources such as clinics, job opportunities, and social service non-profits in the city. I also lead a team of Youth Outreach Workers that created presentations and events to foster health and wellness for underserved communities on campus.
