ABOUT CHRISTOPHER E.
I work at the intersection of BESS engineering, project development, and energy infrastructure finance. Over the past decade, I’ve been involved in utility-scale battery storage projects from system design through commercial execution — spanning EPC-level electrical engineering, interconnection management across ERCOT, PJM, and NYISO, contract negotiation, and investment structuring. At Nidec, I led the commercial and technical strategy for the company’s BESS market entry in the US, developing proposals for over $1.3B in battery storage projects, securing $80M in contracts, and structuring $20M in vendor financing. Before that, I spent four years at Black & Veatch designing and delivering ~$100M in utility-scale BESS, substation, and microgrid projects across North America. My focus is on the space where technical risk meets capital deployment: ITC/§48E tax credit compliance, MACRS depreciation modeling, interconnection queue strategy, protection coordination, and the commercial structuring that turns engineered systems into financeable assets.
