This position directs and plans the operations of the Office of Communications and Public Information for the Illinois Supreme Court and the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts. I created the first two newsletters of the Illinois Judicial Branch, Illinois Courts Connect and the Media Monitor. Illinois Courts Connect is a monthly publication that reports on news from all three levels of the Illinois Court System - Trial, Appellate and Supreme - and is distributed to internal and external stakeholders. Media Monitor is a daily digest of court related news from around the state and nation. I also serve as media liaison for the Illinois Judicial Branch, prepare news releases and pitch story ideas. Other duties including serving as a founding member of the Illinois Judicial College and Pretrial Practices Commission to improve education and communications regarding these key Court initiatives.
