Chris is a Houston-based partner in PwC’s Energy, Utilities, and Mining (“EU & M”) practice. He has over 20 years of experience in serving public and non-public EU & M companies in audit and non-audit capacities.Chris has specialized in serving clients in the independent power, renewable energy, competitive wholesale and retail electric and natural gas, and regulated electric and gas utility sub-sectors. Throughout his career, Chris has provided leadership and direction in assisting clients with a variety of financial reporting and technical accounting matters, including business combinations, consolidations, equity method investments, long-lived asset impairments, goodwill impairments, segment reporting, derivatives and hedging activities, revenue recognition, leases, carve-outs, bankruptcies, and SEC reporting.Chris previously served in the Accounting Services Group in PwC’s National Office in Florham Park, NJ. In his role, Chris focused on a wide variety of EU & M industry matters, including leading our Firm’s efforts in evaluating the impact of the recently adopted revenue and leasing standards. His core responsibilities included performing technical accounting consultations (U.S. GAAP and IFRS), authoring thought leadership publications, following standard setting activities, instructing training sessions on technical accounting and financial reporting topics, and presenting at client and industry events, conferences, and webcasts.Chris is a CPA in Texas and Maryland, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
