About Christopher Schmitt
As a Project Designer at Lumos and Associates I performed Civil design to desired expectations, and assess for best practices and most efficient design structure. I utilized AutoCAD 3D on a daily basis for project design. Additionally, I researched requirements, applicable laws, and external factors that will effect the outcome for best overall implementation. My daily responsibilities at Kiewit included estimating, organization, project management, and design. Using AutoCAD, engineering analysis, innovation, and practicality, I have saved investors and Kiewit millions in project redesigns on large government, private projects and bids. My skill and passion for communication, teamwork, and management set me apart in a competitive job market.I\'ve served three rotations overseas with the Nevada Air National Guard, which were all an enlightening and humbling experience. I have mentored and trained new airmen, and led efforts to implement and install new aircraft systems and testing that led to better consistency and efficiency across the organization. Working with the DoD continues to instill an understanding of processes, program management, and safety protocol.
