   Responsible for Cleveland Public Power\'s energy market involvement. Shape generation source mix to meet the City of Cleveland\'s Advanced and Renewable Energy Standards. Stay educated on PJM Market policies and procedures. Set up CPP\'s first load following contract to procure a variable amount of hourly MW deliveries at a fixed price. Develop an understanding of generation deployment and how it relates to procurement strategies such as load following. Administer RFP proposals for blocks of energy to serve CPP\'s load. Developed a proposal for behind-the-meter solar and storage, which provides peak-shaving and market sales opportunities for CPP. Assist in contracting for CPP\'s participation in the Icebreaker project off Lake Erie, an off-shore wind project providing green energy to the residents of Cleveland. Facilitated CPP\'s initial participation in PJM ARR and FTR markets to hedge congestion, saving CPP\'s customers nearly during the month of January, 2018 when cold weather sent hourly congestion charges through the roof. Engage in peak shaving and demand response methods to lower CPP\'s exposure to capacity and transmission. Administer CPP\'s Curtailment Service Provider program. Participate in City of Cleveland Governmental Aggregation programs for residential, commercial, and street lighting purposes. Member of a group of Cleveland scholars and subject-matter experts investigating microgrid possibilities for the city. Assist in regulatory filings with FERC, NERC, and Reliability First.
