Shaw Pipeline Services (SPS) is a global leader in non-destructive testing (NDT) services for the global energy infrastructure markets, serving EPCs, operators, fabricators, refineries, renewables, and other industrial clients. Recently, I had the opportunity to buy SPS with the support of a private equity partner. In addition to the acquisition, I led the carveout from the parent, ‘standing it up’ as an independent company, and worked with the UK’s regulatory unit for sensitive industry transactions. As Chairman, I’m responsible for governance, oversight, M&A, and strategic direction as well as advising our CEO, Private Equity backers, and other stakeholders.
