I am the currently the Head of Land Regeneration at National Grid Property with experience in Contaminated Land Management both as a Regulator and Land Portfolio holder. I currently manage a Land Regeneration team with a nationwide portfolio of projects on former gaswork sites including site assessments, soil and groundwater remediation, civil works (wall, drainage, culvert repairs) and gasholder dismantling, infilling and refurbishment. My team also manages projects deconstraining sites for future redevelopment (such as relocating gas mains). My role extends to environmental provision management, policy and governance, health and safety assurance, incident review, performance monitoring, contract management, supply chain management, stakeholder engagement and community relations. I manage multiple land regeneration frameworks including remediation, demolition and environmental consultant frameworks. As well as land regeneration, I have experience is site divestment including marketing and sales negotiations. I am a Chartered Scientist and ex-Chair of the Society of Brownfield Risk Assessment (SoBRA) where I currently lead the Accreditation Scheme for Brownfield Risk Assessors. I am on the SuRF-UK and NQMS steering groups and have held roles within the Defra Expert Panel, National Brownfield Forum and SAGTA. I have an active interest in risk assessment, and am keen to support the dissemination of knowledge and good practice within the sector.
